Craigslist

Normally I’m not a big fan of Craiglist.  Sure you can find great deals, interesting finds, hell even a date.  But it’s kinda shady at the same time.  I personally know people that have gotten ripped off answering ads from Craigslist.

But, like I mentioned before Monaco’s don’t exactly grow on trees, so when I was doing my weekly search of all of the major car sites and auction sites, I happened to go to Craigslist and there she was.

Described as a clean, 2 owner dodge Monaco, with low original miles it was too good to be true.  And since it was listed on Craigslist, it HAD to be too good to be true!

Then I came my senses.  I mean, if someone wanted to rip someone off on Craigslist, I am sure they would have to find something more enticing than a ’76 Monaco.  My Spidey-Sense told me that it was probably legit, but I remained extremely cautious.

The price listed in the add was on the high side of where these cars are at, I mean high retail.  But, it was the right body style, the right interior color, it looked extremely clean (most of these rotted from the inside out before leaving the factory).  What the hell, let me email the seller…
