Bluesmobile Cruise Night – Mt. Prospect, IL 09/16

90 Degrees on September 16th? I’ll take it!  Taking advantage of the awesome weather this weekend, I made my way up to Mt. Prospect, IL for one of the last Bluesmobile Cruise Nights of the 2017 season.  If you have not had the opportunity to attend one of these events, please do so!

This is a weekly cruise night that is sponsored by the Mt. Prospect Lions Club.  The event is totally free to attend and any donations made to the Lions Club are greatly appreciated.

This was the first time I was able to attend this show, and I was quite surprised that I was the only Bluesmobile there!!! It turns out that it is more common than not to see ZERO Bluesmobiles at this show.

I was blown away by that information.  I know of at least 5-6 Bluesmobiles in the Chicagoland area.  If there was a cruise night to go to, I would think it would be the one that would welcome you with open arms!!!

My first parking spot of the evening…
Same spot, different angle.

Since I was the only Bluesmobile there, the Lions Club thought it would be a good idea to pull out their Mt. Prospect “Pre” Bluesmobile in order for us to park on opposite sides of the Lion’s club tent and use in some marketing material.  If anyone knows about the proper exploitation, it would be me!

Found my comfy spot.

Backing in the “Pre” Bluesmobile 1974 Mt. Prospect police car.
All backed in.

Before…
After…

I took quite a few pictures of the pre-Bluesmobil just so I could see the cop car vibe it had.

Parked by the band. Naturally.

Enjoy the rest of the pictures I took at this show.
